Dr. Ahmed Najim is an assistant Prof. holding a Ph.D. in Community Health Nursing and has obtained his doctorate in 2011 from Cairo University (Egypt). Dr. Ahmed has joined Al Azhar University – Gaza (AUG) in the year 2014 and currently working as head of the nursing department and he is a lecturer at the master's program of nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Al Quds University and radiology imaging at AUG.
Dr. Ahmed was holding many positions at the Palestinian ministry of health as vice dean of Palestine college of nursing and director of the Palestine college of nursing – Gaza branch and he has very long experience in nursing education and public health as well. He has been supervising a master's student in the master's program of nursing and medical imaging (12 masters). and also, he was an external examiner for many master students in nursing, clinical nutrition, public health, and nursing. He published 16 publications most of these publications were indexed in Scopus journals. He had been a Consultant for Conducting Baseline & post-intervention evaluation study for the project of improving the health and rehabilitation care, nutritional situation for children in Gaza (Save the Children-UK) -2012.
Dr. Ahmed also a member of the editorial board in various nursing and public health journals and he is a reviewer for many nursing journals. He is also the head of the organizing committee of the proposed second international conference at the Faculty of applied medical sciences (ICAMS II, 2020), Al Azhar University, Nov. 2020.
Dr. Ahmed now is one of the academic staff members of the Enhancement of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetic Practice Project in Palestine (ECNAD) which is one of the Erasmus+ - Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices – Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education and Coordinated by Al Azhar University- Gaza (Palestine) Duration from Jan.2020 to Jan.2023.
